Ling Design & Development started as a solutions based business, by Jason Ling, in the Pacific Northwest. An outdoor industry veteran, Jason has a passion for creating advanced concepts & technical softgoods, specializing in handwear, that withstands the rigors of outdoor, hunting, fishing, industrial, and tactical environments. His journey in the world of design began in specialty outdoor retail during his college years and has since evolved into a dynamic career with a long list of successful product creations. As a passionate user, Jason is inspired by time spent outside seeking adventure in the forests, mountains and rivers of the Pacific Northwest.

Jason's career path was set in motion when he joined a specialty outdoor retail store in Michigan, during college. Working closely with customers and engaging in hands-on product testing, he gained invaluable insights into the specific needs of outdoor enthusiasts. This experience fueled his ambition to design outdoor products that could meet and exceed the demands of the most challenging outdoor activities.

In pursuit of his dreams, Jason made a significant move to Seattle, a hub for outdoor gear innovation and design. He secured a pivotal position with an apparel manufacturer known for its commitment to quality and innovation in the adventure travel market.

His expertise in material science, ergonomic design, and thoughtful attention to detail has led to the development of handwear that are at the height of function, but also aesthetically pleasing. Jason is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of handwear design, incorporating cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact.
